29th July 2021.
You may have read that this week the Northern Ireland Executive have changed the requirement for the wearing of face coverings in places of worship from regulation to guidance only. Face coverings will still be legally required when entering and exiting the church building and will be strongly advised whilst singing or moving around the premises.
As we transition towards pre-pandemic ways of worshipping, we must continue to show consideration for each other, recognising that our feelings towards this pandemic and our experiences have all been different.
From Sunday 1st August, we will designate all of the downstairs seating area for those who wish to continue wearing masks throughout the service. Upstairs, individuals can decide for themselves, though we strongly advise face coverings are worn when singing and should only be removed while you are seated.
This allocation of seating areas may be adjusted over the coming weeks according to the restrictions and to how members and visitors are responding to the arrangements. We will continue to communicate any changes clearly to the church family and will consider further relaxations as they take effect.
We thank you for your thoughtfulness and courtesy as you attend the Sunday services.
