Baptism

Baptism

The New Testament gives only two simple ceremonies for the Church to conduct. The first is communion. The second is baptism. Baptism is not necessary for salvation but every Christian should be baptised. Baptisms are conducted at our Sunday evening services. It is an occasion when those who are being baptised can invite their friends and family to witness their baptism, and when they can declare publicly their faith in Jesus Christ. It is an important and memorable moment in their lives.

Secure in Christ

A short series before Easter 2019. There are many of God’s promises contained in the Bible which assure us that those who are born again are as secure as God is faithful. We can be sure of this as we consider the work of Jesus on the cross and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives. We look to the powerful statements of Paul in Romans chapters 5 and 8 to help us understand God’s eternal plans for us, even though there are many, not least ourselves, who cause us to doubt.
